Mother of us all
Place of our birth
How can we stand aside
And watch the rape of the wold
This the beginning of the end
This the most heinous of crimes
This the deadliest of sins
The greatest violation of all time
Mother of us all
Place of our birth
We all are witness
To the rape of the world
Youve seen her stripped mined
Youve heard of bombs exploded underground
You know the sun shines
Hotter than ever before
Mother of us all
Place of our birth
We all are witness
To the rape of the world
Some claim to have crowned her
A queen
With cities of concrete and steel
But there is no glory no honor
In what results
From the rape of the world
Mother of us all
Place of our birth
We all are witness
To the rape of the world
She has been clear-cut
She has been dumped on
She has been poisoned and beaten up
And we have been witness
To the rape of the world
Mother of us all
Place of our birth
How can we stand aside
And watch the rape of the world
If you look youll see it with your own eyes
If you listen you will hear her cries
If you care you will stand and testify
And stop the rape of the world
Stop the rape of the world
Mother of us all
Mother of us all
Mother of us all
Mother of us all
I got BLOGTAGGED on the ning! (Anyone who is looking for my 5 facts on the Ning, I hope you thought to click on my website link.)
Anyways, I ‘m supposed to share 5 AWESOME facts about myself. Ugh….this is going to be hard!
I couldn’t walk as a toddler. While Ginny, my twinny (ha…rhyming) was walking around our house, I was knee walking. This was concerning to my parents, so they took me to a child walking specialist at the Children’s Hospital in Boston. Anywho, I finally walked at almost 3 years of age, and the doctors and my family were happy because I almost had to have leg braces. The only repercussions are that I have knee problems, but it’s been gradually getting better. And I can walk, and run and whatever. (I also have low muscle tone, which may have been the cause of me not having strong enough legs to hold me up. My mom thinks it was because Ginny took up all the room in her..umm..womb, i guess, and she didn’t leave my muscles enough room to develop.)
WoOt Obama! I’m a HUGE Obama fan! Yay for the 2008 presidential election!
I’m a math geek in denial. That’s what my friends say, at least. I love literature, art, music, and films, but I am hopelessly left-brained. (Stupid thumb test…) Anyways, I like the conciseness (?) of math and how straight forward it is, but I also like creativity. I don’t know, I guess I have a good balance of both areas ( math and art), which is good, but quite confusing when considering potential majors and careers.
Only 2 left! Okay, the fourth fact about ME is that…I hate cliques! Specifically, I hate how people band together by sports team. It just takes the fun out of doing a school sport.
Last one! I know you’re sad. Let’s see..the last fact about me…I’m dead scared about getting my license! No lie. They get us so freaked out in school, doing mock car accidents and whatnot. Ahhh….I have NIGHTMARES!
Well, that’s it. Interesting me.
Now for awesomeness! Ministry of Magic video below! Love them!!!!
Sorry I haven’t updated in awhile! This week has just been SO hectic, you don’t even want to know! Anywho, I have a lot of questions to ask you…
Is stealing music (cheesy music, if i must) off of the internet bad? Because it was just ‘The Llama Song’ and ‘We’re taking the Hobbits to Isengard’. Well, and maybe ONE Blue October song. But only one! I swear!
Should I audition for the musical at school? I’ve been having nightmares about auditioning, and I’m nervous as HECK right now.
Remind me to give that book back to Stefana. Sorry it’s not a question, but whatever. 30% of questions are statements in disguise anyways. (Love it? Blame Emma…or Dr.Phil)
E. Lockhart. Doesn’t that name sound famous or familiar? It’s the author of the book I’m currently reading, and I don’t know where I’ve heard that name before. Does anyone have an idea?
‘Bioré’ products are awesome! Try the ‘Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser’ and the ‘Pore Minimizing Moisturizer’. Works REALLY well. (Endorsement not paid for by the ’Bioré’ Franchise.)
Hmm…what else…OH! Raise your hand if Kerri is the bomb! (If your hand is not waving frantically in the air, I am not your friend anymore) She rocked yesterday at Listening Lunch! You go girl! (Wow…just…wow.) Any record companies out there, Kerri is soooo ready for a contract!
Also, raise your hand (frantically, please) if you think it is an AWESOME idea for me to do a nerdfighter collage in my art class! You know, Hank and John, the hand star trek (wars?) thingy, DFTBA, etc…Comment!
Check out the AMAZING video below! It’s ‘The General’ by Dispatch. Those of you that were at Listening Lunch yesterday might recognize it…it’s actually one of my favorite songs. Really good lyrics. Listen to them. Inspirational meaning about war and how it’s…stupid.
If blogging is an indication of loneliness, I must be extremely lonely today.
So, I just wanted to rant about spontanaeity. I hate that the world is always on a schedule, and we all think that by shirking times and responsibilities, the world will combust and our reputations will be shattered.
I don’t think that made very much sense, but whatever. I just wish, sometimes, that I could randomly go somewhere, anywhere, without my parents breathing down my neck. I just want to…go for ice cream, go to the zoo, walk in the woods, pet a giraffe, without it being a big deal. I wish my life was a teen novel. That’s it. That’s all I want. I want…something real. A life without boredom, responsibility, planning and expecatation. I want to discover new things, laugh freely, drive down the road without a care, not wondering if I’m late for the next big thing.
I want to relax. I want…my life to be interesting. It’s the same old thing every single day. Wake up to the shriek of my alarm clock. Hit the snooze button. Drag my butt out of bed. Get to school. Talk to my friends. Learn stuff. Go home. Eat an apple. Do my homework. Check my e-mail. Call my friends. Do something, maybe. Watch TV. Listen to music. Run on the treadmill. Go to singing lessons. Try to stay awake in Science Class.
It is all so…draining. I just want spontanaeity. Do you hear me? I want to be a character in a book! I want a life (not a fake life, like fake teenagers have) but an interesting, meaningful, exotic life. I want to go to an art museum. Or the aquarium.
